Since this year, Tatarstan schoolchildren have the opportunity to receive a grant from the Ministry of Ecology for the implementation of their projects
The final stage of the competition of environmental scientific, practical and research works within the framework of the Republican conference "PROeco" was held today. 80 works came to the competition from schoolchildren, 38 projects in three nominations reached the final: "Minimizing negative impact on the environment", "Flora and Fauna of the Republic of Tatarstan", "Social Ecology". The finalists defended their works in front of experts today. Three winners were announced in each nomination.
First Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Airat Shigapov took part in the closing ceremony of the Republican Conference "PROeco". He noted: "For seven years, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the youth movement "Will be Clean" have been holding joint events and actively working on environmental education and education of young people. I am sure that the conference will help you decide on a profession and choose ecology in order to solve environmental issues together with us."
For the first time since this year, the students who took the first places will be able to submit their research papers on a par with students to the competition of scientific and practical works on ecology among students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan. This competition is held by the Ministry of Ecology for 3 years.
The winners receive grants from the Ministry of Ecology for the implementation of projects and the opportunity to participate in the conference named after A. I. Shchepovskikh. Each finalist student will be assigned mentors – heads of departments or departments of the Ministry for consultations on research projects.
