Solemnevents devoted to the 10th anniversary of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage and to the World Day of Environment and the Day of Ecological Expert are held today in Moscow at the State Kremlin Palace.Representativesofthefederalandregionalauthoritiesofthestategovernment, ecological organizations and business community participate in the event. The delegation from Tatarstan is represented by the Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Fatikh Sibgatulli, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov and the Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage for the Republic of Tatarstan Farit Khayrutdinov.

Today, experts of the Northern Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan visited a summer school camp “Friends of Nature” in Arsk Municipal District. The work of the camp is aimed at fostering of ecological awareness, education and upbringing of the young generation. Experts of the Ministry of Ecology gave a lecture and presented a film on conservation of nature of the motherland, and they also answered pupils’ questions.

Traditionally, the International Day of water body cleaning is celebrated in Russia on the first Saturday of June.Onthisday, clubs of underwater swimming organize a field trip to local water bodies where they clean the coastal area and bottoms by efforts of divers. InKazan, thecampaignwasheldonJune 7thonthelakeGlubokoeandthelakeLebyazye,and it was arranged by the Tatar department of the Russian Geographical Societywith the assistance of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as Kazan Town Hall.FirstDeputyMinisterforEcologyandNaturalResourcesoftheRepublicofTatarstanRustemKamalov, Deputy Minister – Chief State Inspector for Nature Protection Ramil Nizamov, representatives of the Russian Geographical Society, public organizations and proponents took part in the Day of water body cleaning. All in all, 7 cubic meters of trash were removed from the territory and the bottom of lakes.

A briefing on the results of the two-month sanitary and ecological campaign held in the Republic of Tatarstan was held today at the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Artem Sidorov, told the journalists that from April 1 until June 1, state inspectors revealed 5,567 violations of the nature protection legislation in the course of conducted raids. Allinall, 182 legal persons were held administratively liable, and 4,475 protocols were drawn up against officials and individuals. Thefineswereimposedintheamountof26 million 530 thousand rubles. Outof 1,217 unauthorizedlandfillsrevealedinthecourse of a two-month campaign,1,085 were liquidated making up89%.

The Day of Ecological Expert is celebrated on June 5th in our Republic and in the whole country, while the Day of Environmental Protection is celebrated all over the world. This holiday concerns anyone who makes a strong contribution into a noble field of nature protection and recovery. Today, I would like to congratulate both those experts whose everyday activity is related to environmental protection, and all those for whom preservation and augmentation of natural wealth has become an everyday way of life. Fortunately, ecological movement has been lately becoming a large-scale one obtaining priority support on the highest political level. Year after year more and more people come to understand that the future of the civilization, as well as sustainable development of society and the life of every person on the planet depend on our efforts.

OnJune 5, 2014, in the framework of the Day of Ecological Expert, the first International ecological Saturday work campaign will be held on the territory of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
FellowworkersoftheMinistryofEcologyandNaturalResourcesoftheRepublicofTatarstanalong with proponents of public ecological organizations and the Young Guard of the United Russia will clean the territory of the coastal area of the lake Kaban from litter.Moreover, cleaning campaigns will be held in every city and every district of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Due to the accident that happened on the river Kama in Chaikovsky district of the Perm Territory (On June 1, 2014 a barge carrying about three thousand tons of industrial salt drowned), the experts of the Cis-Kama and Trans-Kama territorial departments under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan regularly draw water samples from the river Kama in order to prevent deterioration of the ecological state of the water facility. In such a way, the experts drew samples in the area of industrial water recovery in the village Krasny Kluch, as well as in water recovery areas of Naberezhnye Chelny and Elabuga.

TheInternationalForum “ECWATECH-2014” is held in Moscow at the expo center “Crocus Expo” on June 3-6. ThisForumisthelargestcongressionaleventinRussiaandtheCIScountriesdevoted to a complex of matters in the field of water supply and discharge, water technologies, recovery and rational use of water resources. All in all, 750 companies participate this year in the Forum and the exposition including 250 foreign companies.

A children’s holiday devoted to the World Day for Protection of Children and the World Day for Environmental Protection “Green world to the children” was held last weekend on the premises of a shopping and recreation center “Yuzhny”. Anyone who feels like it could participate in the process of erection of a carton ECOcity under the guidance of the School of Architecture and Design for Children “DASHKA”. Thevisitorssawperformanceofanecologicaltheatre “Raduga” staging the “Ballad of a pine”. Moreover, thechildren’sdancecontestwasorganizedwith the assistance of the group “Dance and Plastique School of Dariya Sharova”, the overall champion of the Republic of Tatarstanin rhythmic gymnastics, master of sports of the Russian Federation. Moreover, an artistic duel was held in front of the entrance to “Yuzhny”.

AswimmingcontestwasheldtodayattheAquatics palacein the framework of the Spartakiade of state officials of the Republic of Tatarstan. The team of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan was rated the first. The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Protection was rated the second, while the third place was won by the team of the Office of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.
