The reception of applications for participation in the international competition of short films about water "We are water", with participants over 18 years old, has started.

The contest is held on three nominations:

- Documentary film;

- Feature film;

- Animation.

The city children's ecological and biological center of Kazan and the Republican Olympiad Center invite pupils of grades 1-11 to participate in the republican open socio-ecological contest "Let's preserve the nature of Tatarstan". It is aimed at the formation of ecological thinking and culture among the younger generation, the development of schoolchildren's interest in the preservation and enhancement of the natural wealth of Tatarstan.

Almetyevsk took the second place in the ranking of "Greenpeace of Russia" by availability of separate collection of wastes. According to statistics, 86 % of Neftegrad's residents have the   containers for sorting household waste near their houses. The residents of suburban Mytischi – 93 % of the residents have the best access to the local separate waste collection, according to the rating. Volzhskiy has occupied the third place - 84%. 

The penalty for the cluttered territory will be paid by LLC "MC Zhilishchnik-4". The Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan dismissed the complaint against the previous decision of the Soviet district court of Kazan.

Two pupils of the first in the republic ecological class were awarded with the diplomas of the 1st grade laureate for the victory in the city contest of decorative art "On the blue planet" within the framework of  the IV ecological festival of children's and youth crafts "Green planet". Darya Volkovawon the first place among the participants of the young group "Sculpturing", and Ivan Krivonosov became the best in nomination "Volumetric works". 

"Hand over the waste paper – save a tree! » Under such a motto Tatarstan will join the All Russia action in the framework EcoSpring -2018, which will start on April 1. All the citizens, businesses, companies, educational institutions and public organizations, which jointly colected over 300 kg of waste paper can take part in the eco marathon. 

On 15-16 of March 2018 Saint Petersburg will host the XXth International Ecological Congress "Atmosphere – 2018". The representatives of Federal Executive authorities, including the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service for supervision of natural resources, Federal service for Hydrometeorology and environmental monitoring, Federal Service for supervision of consumer rights protection and human welfare, the executive bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in the field of environmental protection, environmental services of large industrial companies, leading research organizations will take part in this event.

Construction wastes, ferrous metal scrap, wood products, waste paper, including documents and accounting records. The unauthorized dump of area 136,5 sq.m. was discovered on the territory of Pismyanskiy rural settlement of the Leninogorsk district.  After the study of wastes' morphology the inspectors from the South Eastern territorial department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan brought the arranger of the unauthorized dump to clean water. 

The All Russia youth scientific-practical conference "Geosciences: problems, achievements and prospects of development" will be held on 27-28 of April 2018 in the North-Eastern Federal University named after M. K. Ammosov. The students, undergraduates, graduate students and young scientists will participate in the event.

New wastewater plant will be built this year in the Podgorny village of theBugulma Region. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the administrtaion of the Bugulma municipal region signed the agreement on construction of these facilities.
