More than 2 thousand Nizhnekamsk residents joined the "ECO-spring-2018". The first city-wide voluntary Wednesday clean up days within the sanitary-ecological bimonthly period in Nizhnekamsk were held on April 11th and 12th.
Voluntary Wednesday clean up days will be held on April 18th and 19th, as well as a "general clean up day" before the May holidays – on April 25th and 26th.
The Republican contest "ECO-spring-2018" started on April 1st. Everyone can take part in environmental events by posting a photo or video with a hash tag #эковесна2018. According to the results of the contest, the most active eco-family, enterprise, school and preschool institution will be found.
Storage of farm animal wastes in the water protection zone of the Arya River. Violation of the nature protection legislation was revealed by the inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan during consideration of the appeal of Zelenodolskiy district residents. As established by environmental specialists, together with melting water, farm animal wastes were drained into a water body. The results of analyzes of sewage samples showed a 1600-fold excess of the ion phosphate, as well as ammonium ions - 1540 times, phenol 200 times, nitrites 20 times, zinc 8.6 times, manganese 4.6 times. The content of pollutants in natural water was: ammonium ion - 3.73 times, nitrite - 0.86 times, iron - 5.5 times, zinc - 1.8 times, manganese - 1.4 times. All the inspection materials were submitted to the Kazan inter-district environmental prosecutor's office to consider the possibility of instituting criminal proceedings.
From June 6 to 8, 2018 in the capital of Bashkortostan the third International Environmental Forum will be held in the exhibition complex "VDNKh-EXPO".
Within the framework of the plenary session and discussion platforms participants will discuss the following topics:
- Environmental safety in fuel and energy sector;
- Environmental problems of mining industry;
- Development of a pollution monitoring system. Methods and means of environmental monitoring;
- Greening the timber industry complex. New technologies;

Within the framework of the Forum it is planned to arrange a special exhibition "Ecology. Technologies. Life", which will present the latest techniques and developments in the field of environmental safety.
Since the beginning of the sanitary-ecological bimonthly period, 207 reports have been received by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. 29 of them were appeals through the mobile application "School Eco-Patrol", 64 - through the "People's Control" system, 35 messages via WhatsApp and Telegram communication channels.

An educational holiday dedicated to the Day of Environmental Knowledge was held in Pestrechinskiy kindergarten "Kaenkai" with the participation of specialists from the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. As part of the educational event, the children were shown an ecological fairy tale "Forest History".
