A campaign “Green tramway” was held in Nizhnekamsk, and it was devoted to the Year of Environment-oriented Culture and Nature Protection in the Republic of Tatarstan. The campaign was organized by Trans-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Today the events dated to the International Earth Day took place in the Republic of Tatarstan. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan organized meetings with representatives of public and educational institutions. Campaigns on improvement and landscaping were carried out in the territory of two educational institutions of the city of Kazan – Gymnasia No.
20 and Lyceum No. 5 - at the initiative of the Ministry and with the support of “Gorvodzelenkhoz”.

Within the framework of the Year of environmental culture and protection in the Republic of Tatarstan, the nomination “Little Miss Ecology” was announced. Elizaveta Kalayda and Julia Grechneva became winners. Diplomas and memorable prizes were awarded by the Principal Advisor of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Elena Gilmizyanova.

The winners of the contest on construction of birdhouses “Grackles have come” were publicized. The results were summarized on April 21 at the Central Park of Culture and Rest named after Maxim Gorky. More than 400 pieces of work were presented at the contest, and 20 of them were decided the winners by the jury. Authors of the best birdhouses were awarded with prizes and diplomas. The jury consisted of the representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, and “Maxidom” company.

The holiday devoted to the International Earth Day was carried out at the nursery school “Goldfish” of the Aznakayevo municipal area of the Republic of Tatarstan. Over-fives prepared a thematic theatrical performance. In an entertaining form children shared their knowledge on the necessity of respect for the environment, and that in the nature everything is interdependent – the person and the nature act as a whole.
