On April 22, 2014 the sixth anniversary March of Kindness in the Republic of Tatarstan was held in the center of Kazan. This year the March was organized by the Center of development of voluntary work in the Republic of Tatarstan with the assistance of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry for Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, Public Youth Chamber under the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Department of the Federal Service for Narcotics Control of the Russian Federation for Tatarstan.
Inspectors of the Cis-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan took the measures regarding revelation of the fact of illegal recovery of common mineral resources on the river Kama. As of April 14, illegal recovery of sand-and gravel material from the bottom was carried out at the site of Sidorovskoe deposit located on the right side of the navigable channel of the river Kama within the range of 1,640.4-1,644 km. Recovery works were carried out by the crane boat PK-19 with further loading on to the barge of the vessel с RT-361 and “Oksky 32” with further transportation to Naberezhnye Chelny to the site owned by the Limited Liability Company “Transline”. The volume of recovered common mineral resources amounted to 2,654 tons.
The events that coincide with the World Earth Day were held today in the Republic of Tatarstan. The Ministry organized meetings with the representatives of public and educational establishments. On the initiative of the Ministry and with the assistance of Kazan Zoological and Botanic Garden, a practical nature protection campaign on creation of an ecological path was held on the territory of school No. 78 of Kazan. This school wasn’t chosen randomly, since at this school both healthy and disabled children study. Today, fellow workers of the Ministry and Kazan Zoological and Botanic Garden held a master class for senior pupils – the class regarded planting and caring for plants. Manchurian walnut and Amur maple became the pioneers of the ecological path along with lilac, spiraea, arrow-wood and mountain ash.
A report on plague of fish in the water facility on Karbysheva street in Kazan was received today by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. As it turned out, this pond isn’t a natural water facility, it is a hydrotechnical facility that is also a part of the garden square – a place of mass recreation of citizens. At the site, inspectors of the Central Territorial Department found dead fish and littered territory of the water facility. To discern the causes of fish plague, the Central specialized inspection of analytical control under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan drew water samples. A mobile laboratory of the Central specialized inspection of analytical control allowed to carry out urgent analysis with regard to oxygen level. The results showed that oxygen level is within the normal limits. More detailed analysis results will be known within 7-10 days.
As of April 15, inspectors of the Trans-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan took measures on revelation of the fact of illegal recovery of common mineral resources on the river Kama. On April 18, 2014 inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology together with fellow workers of the Department for Economic Safety and Anti-Corruption Activity under the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tatarstan and fellow workers of the line police department of Naberezhnye Chelny of Kazan Line Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on the transport, registered the fact of illegal recovery of common mineral resources (sand-and gravel material). Joint operative measures on prevention of further recovery were taken along with revelation of circumstances together with fellow workers of the police department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan. According to the preliminary information, recovery of sand-and gravel material on the river Kama was carried out beyond the boundaries of the licensed site.
Today, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Artem Sidorov, met with a winner of the Republican stage of the “Junior water contest” Olga Timirbaeva and the mentor of the contest, Director of the Institute of Ecology and Subsurface Resources Management, Dmitry Ivanov. Organizational matters of participation in the final stage of the “Russian National Junior Water Contest-2014” that will be held on April 20 - 25 in Moscow were discussed during the meeting. The Minister highly praised the potential of the pupil from Tatarstan and acknowledged relevance of the project “Determination of toxicity of water environment with regard to behavioral performance of Daphnia magna using the system of computer vision” elaborated by Olga Timirbaeva.
A flying trip by helicopter across the territories of the Republic of Tatarstan was held in the framework of a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign on April 17, 2014. TheMinisterforEcologyandNaturalResourcesoftheRepublicofTatarstan, ArtemSidorov,and Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic, Ramil Nizamov, inspected the territory of Kazan, Laishevo, Pestretsy, Rybnaya Sloboda, Chistopol, Alekseevskoe, Elabuga, Nizhnekamsk, Zainsk, Mendeleevsk, Tukaevo districts, as well as Naberezhnye Chelny, Mamadysh and Sarmanovo districts of the Republic in order to reveal the sites of unauthorized placement of wastes and other violations of the rules of beautification.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation announced the All-Russian campaign “Parkway of Russia” that will be held in September in the framework of the Year of Culture in Russia.Plants symbolizing these regions will be chosen in every constituent entity by public voting. The Republic of Crimea was determined as the place of establishment of the Parkway of Russia.
On April 14, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan,“Corporation of Development of the Republic of Tatarstan” OJSCand Non-commercial Partnership “Centre of ecological certification – Green standards” have signeda three-party agreement. It is aimed at expansion of the boundaries of cooperation and enhancement of mutual understanding in the matters regardingapplication of “green” standards in the course of design and construction. These standards will be applied in the course of implementation of the project “SMART City Kazan”, and their observation is implied during further operationof facilities constructed in the context of this project.
