Solemn celebrations related to the 60th anniversary of the Department for Geology of Oil and Gas were held today at Kazan (Volga) Federal University.Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Timur Akchurin participated in the event. He delivered the Certificate of Merit to the team of the Department for Oil and Gas Geology of the Institute of Geology and Oil and Gas Technologies of Kazan (Volga) Federal Universityon behalf of the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov for significant contribution into the system of education and geological science, as well as development of oil and gas field in the Republic of Tatarstan.



The All-Russian Congress“Regulation of the use and protectionof water resources, legal status of shores, andwater fund lands” is held today in Moscow.The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorovparticipates in the congress.
Agenda of the event includes discussion of the legal basis ofwater resources management in Russia, peculiarities of land turnoveroccupied by water facilities and hydraulic engineering structures; the practices regarding disputes related to the use and protection of water facilities, coastline, water protection and sanitary zones will also be reviewed. The issues will be discussed on the example of the Russian and foreign experience. A round table on the“Problems and trends of water legislation development in Russia. Shore regulation” will also be held during the conference.

Head of the Department for Development of Information Systems and Informational Support under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Liliya Gizatulina celebrates her birthday today. The Meeting of the Federal Ecological Councilunder the chairmanship of the Minister for Natural resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation Sergey Donskoy is held in Moscow.The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov, Chairperson of the Committee for Ecology, Nature Use, Agroindustrial andFood Policy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Takhir Khadeevparticipate in the event. Suggestions on creation of the Council were voiced by participants of the IV All-Russian Conference for Nature Protection held in December 2013 in Moscow. The Federal Ecological Council will becomethe permanentcollegial body. Its work will be aimed at assurance of interaction between federaland regional legislative and executive authorities in the field of nature protection
The IV All-Russian Research-to-Practice Conference “Anti-corruption dialectics” was held today at the Institute of Economics, Management and Law in Kazan. The principal advisorof the Department for State Service and Personnel under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Yekaterina Piternova participated in the conference.
The following issues were discussed in the framework of the conference:
-corruption as a phenomenon,its interaction with other events and processes;
-political, social, economic and other consequences of corruption;
-post hoc analysis of anti-corruption practices;
-international and foreign anti-corruption experience;

The international exposition for nature protection and sustainable development Pollutec Lyon 2014will be held in France on December 2 – 5, 2014for industrial facilities and regional authorities. The exposition demonstrates the latest achievements in the field ofrecovery and processing of all types of production and consumption wastes, as well as advanced technologies for collection, transportation, sorting and burial of waste products, innovation equipment and special vehicles.

The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov took part in the solemn ceremony for parting of participants of the project “Antarctic-100” to the expedition; the ceremony was held at the Museum of Natural History of Tatarstan. A new project of the Russian Geographical Society is devoted to the discoverer of the Antarctic, the only scientist of the First Russian Antarctic Expedition of 1819-1821, Rector of Kazan University Ivan Mikhaylovich Simonov “Antarctic-100”. During his welcoming word, Artem Sidorov acknowledged the work carried out by the Ministry of Ecology together with the department of the All-Russian Public Organization of the Russian Geographical Society in the Republic of Tatarstan. In particular, nature protection campaigns for cleaning of water facilities, underwater monitoring of sunken floating crafts in the rivers of the Republic. The Minister expressed special gratitude on behalf of citizens of the Republic for implementation of the project “Relics of Tatarstan” related to detection of sunken churches.
Kazan Board of Education together with Kazan Children’s Ecological and Biological Center holds the city stage of the All-Russian contest“My small motherland: nature, culture, ethnicity”. The contest is aimed at fostering of value-conscious attitude to natural and cultural environment in children and youth, as well as tolerance and respect for cultures of other ethnic groupspopulating the territory of Russia. Pupils of educational establishments from 12 to 18 years of age showing interest to studying and preservation of natural and cultural heritage of their small motherland can participate in the contest.
Competitive pieces of work can be presented in the following forms:
− educational and research work –in the category“Humanitarian and ecological researches”;
− a guide or description of the route or path–in the category“Ecological and regional guides”;
− publicistic piece of work (article, essay, sketch and so on) – in the

The agreement on cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and the All-Russian Public Ecological Movement “Green Russia” was signed at the Ministry of Ecology.The document was signed by the FirstDeputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Alexey Pesoshin, and Chairperson of the All-RussianPublic Ecological Movement “Green Russia”, Konstantin Kurchenkov. The most active participants of the All-Russian Saturday Work Campaign “Green Russia” were invited to the acknowledgement ceremony that was held by Konstantin Kurchenkov and Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Anatoly Karpov.
