This holiday is close to everyone who lives and works at high latitudes. This is a day of recognition of outstanding achievements of representatives of various professions who have dedicated their lives to the development of the Arctic and Antarctic.

I congratulate all those who, in the difficult conditions of the North, make a great contribution to the research of the polar regions with their daily work.
