Today, in the framework of a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign the territories of Kazan were flown over. Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Ramil Nizamov and Head of the Central Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilkham Sabirov inspected the city and the adjacent territory in order to reveal the sites of unauthorized placement of waste, as well as other violations of the principles of beautification.
As compared with the previous year, as noted Ilkham Sabirov, an ecological situation has somewhat improved. According to him, this year there are a lot less piles of waste and unauthorized landfill sites on the territory of Kazan. But still there is a problem regarding suburban and out-of-town sites, in particular, there are claims to horticultural societies and garage co-operatives. After the territories have been flown over, in the framework of administrative investigations within a week fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources will draw up protocols and apply the measures of administrative influence with regard to the offenders. The groups of inspectors have already been sent to the sites of revealed violations in order to determine owners of the territories, where the sites of unauthorized waste placement were formed.
Inspectors of the Central Department, together with representatives of the Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted a survey of the territory of the Zelenodolsk district.
The events were held in the Zainsky district. The commission included inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents about violations of environmental legislation in the Yelabuga district. Inspectors from the Kama Department went to the site and confirmed the fact of dumping production and consumption waste into the territory of the Bug River water protection zone.
