Environmental specialists revealed thousandfold excess of polluting substances in the melting waters flowing into the Arya River
Storage of farm animal wastes in the water protection zone of the Arya River. Violation of the nature protection legislation was revealed by the inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan during consideration of the appeal of Zelenodolskiy district residents. As established by environmental specialists, together with melting water, farm animal wastes were drained into a water body. The results of analyzes of sewage samples showed a 1600-fold excess of the ion phosphate, as well as ammonium ions - 1540 times, phenol 200 times, nitrites 20 times, zinc 8.6 times, manganese 4.6 times. The content of pollutants in natural water was: ammonium ion - 3.73 times, nitrite - 0.86 times, iron - 5.5 times, zinc - 1.8 times, manganese - 1.4 times. All the inspection materials were submitted to the Kazan inter-district environmental prosecutor's office to consider the possibility of instituting criminal proceedings.
