Containers for batteries have been installed in each region of Almetyevsk. The collection has been arranged in 41 points of the city

Residents of Almetyevsk can deliver the used batteries into the special containers. The receiving points for hazardous waste have been placed in 41 points of the city.

Waste chemical electrical sources belong to the 1st class of hazard for household waste. They contain stannum, mercury, zinc, magnesium, nickel, cadmium, lead. One AA battery can contaminate 10-15 square metres of soil or 400 liters of water, so in order to prevent environmental contamination it is necessary to dispose hazardous wastes in the special containers.
