Tatarstan will take an active part in the implementation of the priority project "Conservation and prevention of pollution of the Volga River". The project provides for 29 events for the total amount of 16.7 billion rubles. Of these, 9.0 billion - from the budget of Russia, 6.5 billion rubles - the budget of Tatarstan and 1.2 billion rubles - extrabudgetary resources. The goal is to reduce the volume of discharges by 60% by 2025 by means of reconstruction and construction of 25 sewage treatment facilities of the housing and communal complex. At the final board of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural resources of RT and Rosprirodnadzor, the Minister Farid Abdulganiev told about the achievements and experience of Tatarstan in the conservation of water resources. The special attention in 2017 was paid to the Kazanka River. The wholesale deaths of fish, which occurred in 2016, was averted. The Environmental Protection Unit of the Republic carried out a daily inspection of the water protection zone, conducted control and supervision measures at the enterprises, performing wastewater discharge. Significant contribution to the conservation of bio resources were made by the enterprises, where the reconstruction of sewage treatment facilities was made - the Republican clinical TB dispensary, Kazan Tuberculosis Hospital, Usadskij Distillery, Vysokogorsk utility networks, Kazan CHPP-3.
