Mining safety to be discussed on December 5-8 in Moscow

On December 5-8, 2017 in Moscow the Institute for Problems of Integrated Development of the Earth. Academician N.V. Melnikova (IPCON RAS) will host the International Scientific Conference "Scientific Foundations of Mining Safety." The conference is held within the framework of the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan for Scientific Research "Safety of Mining". Plenary sessions will be held in the building of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Within the framework of this event the following issues will be discussed:
- state of safety of mining operations at the enterprises of the mineral and raw materials complex of Russia;
- priority areas of research and projects to ensure mining and geological safety of mining mineral deposits;
- priority areas of research and projects to ensure technological safety of efficient mining of minerals and development of underground space;
- priority areas of research and projects to ensure environmental safety in the development of mineral deposits;
- priority areas of research and projects on organizational, managerial and economic maintenance of mining safety;
- regulation of ensuring the mining safety in the mineral and raw material complex of Russia.
Following the results of the conference, recommendations will be prepared in the report to the Government of the Russian Federation "Safety of mining operations in the Russian Federation: state, problems, solutions". The main reports and received abstracts (poster presentations) will be published in the form of the book Proceedings of the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Scientific Foundations of Mining Safety".
