Today, as part of a working trip to Bavly, specialists from the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan visited biological treatment facilities. Here, from October 2015 to September 2017, repairs were carried out to improve the quality of wastewater treatment. At the BTF, the silt beds and sand areas have been reconstructed, meters for incoming sewage and decontamination stations have been installed, and major repairs of the lattice and laboratory building have been performed. As Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chief State Inspector of Tatarstan in the field of environmental protection Fayaz Shakirov said: “A lot of work has been done following the ecologists’ orders. New sewage treatment facilities with the use of modern technologies and equipment have been built, which make it possible to efficiently treat wastewaters.”
At present, an average of 3,000 m3 of domestic waste water per day enters the structure, which passes through 4-stage biological treatment system. The assessment of the waste water quality showed that the efficiency of the BTF increased. Exceeding the standards for the content of pollutants in the river Ik is not fixed.
