Permission to release harmful substances from Kazan enterprise Polypack suspended

10 November 2017, Friday

Tatarstan ecologists suspended the permission for the release of harmful (polluting) substances into the atmospheric air from the Kazan enterprise Polypack. The reason for the termination was the violation of the rules for the protection of atmospheric air, namely the emission of pollutants exceeding the established maximum permissible concentrations. A quantitative chemical analysis of air was carried out by the specialists of the CSIAC and the inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The results of the research showed that the emissions exceeded the concentration of isopropyl alcohol by 5 times and ethyl acetate by 2.4 times. Recall, that compliance with MPC standards for harmful substances in the air is one of the conditions for the validity of a permit issued by the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan. In addition, according to this fact, the inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration brought the enterprise to responsibility under Part 2 of Art. 8.21 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (Violation of the conditions for a special permit for the release of harmful substances into the atmospheric air or harmful physical effects on it).
