Creation of environment management systems, reduction of man-caused load, including on the basis of regional environmental quality standards, organization of continuous monitoring of emissions and discharges of pollutants on the largest enterprises. These priority measures were discussed today in Nizhnekamsk as part of the Expanded Meeting of the Organizing Committee for the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces in the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was attended by Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev, Head of Rosprirodnadzor for the Republic of Tatarstan Farit Khayrutdinov, Mayor of Nizhnekamsk Aidar Metshin. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexei Pesoshin stressed that Tatarstan has a rich experience in solving priority tasks on environmental protection and ensuring environmental security. “Thanks to joint efforts of state and municipal authorities, industrial enterprises, environmental safety of Nizhnekamsk is ensured in conditions of high anthropogenic pressure and further active development of industrial production,” Farid Abdulganiev, Minister of Ecology of Tatarstan, said. According to him, one of the ways of further applying the consolidated calculations is to determine the priority sources of air emissions that are subject to priority equipping with automatic monitoring systems. By January 1, 18, the main sources of emissions and discharges of Category I facilities should be equipped with automatic monitoring systems. In the territory of Tatarstan, 216 objects of this category are registered. Some of them already have positive results. Farit Khayrutdinov, Head of Rosprirodnadzor for the Republic of Tatarstan, spoke about changes in environmental legislation and reform of control and supervisory activities. Mayor of Nizhnekamsk, Aidar Metshin, noted in his speech that the work of the interdepartmental group, which includes experts from the Ministry of Ecology and large industrial enterprises of the city, allows solving problems on reducing the negative impact on the environment.
“Our task is to maintain balance between the development of the economy and the preservation of the environment,” Farid Abdulganiev said in his report. He said that the high environmental responsibility lies with the enterprises of the real sector of the economy. In general, the “green” economy should become not a theory, but reality, as daily household habits. Coordinated joint work of the environmental body of the republic with enterprises of Tatarstan will successfully solve the tasks set, the Minister stressed. In the current year, proclaimed in Russia the Year of Ecology, and the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces in Tatarstan, on the basis of environmentally oriented management of the economy, further reduction of the negative impact on the environment is ensured.
Before the meeting, the participants of the meeting visited the exhibition of modern environmental protection equipment.
