11 October 2017, Wednesday

A report on an unpleasant smell in Naberezhnye Chelny was received by the Prikamsk Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Environmentalists visited the source of the smell. Inspectors of the Prikamsky administration found that at one of the enterprises of the Autograd, measures to protect the atmospheric air during the commissioning works were not observed. The equipment was tested without proper gas traps. In addition, during the inspection it was found out that the organization had not developed a draft of standards for maximum permissible emissions of harmful substances into the atmospheric air. These facts served as grounds for bringing a legal entity to administrative responsibility under Art. 8.1. Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (Non-compliance with environmental requirements in the implementation of urban development and operation of enterprises, facilities or other objects) and part 3. Art. 8.21. Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (Violation of the rules of operation, non-use of structures, equipment or apparatus for gas treatment and monitoring the emission of harmful substances into the air, which can lead to its contamination, or the use of faulty specified facilities, equipment, or apparatus). Also, the offender was given an order to remove the violation. According to the requirements of ecologists, the enterprise installed a dust and gas trap with a pipe into the exhaust system of the production shop, which will reduce emissions of harmful substances into the atmospheric air.
