Cognitive, beautiful and environmentally friendly. Students of the first ecological class in the republic of gymnasium No. 3 in Kazan created a book about nature. The material for making eco-crafts was textile waste. The idea of the competent use of secondary raw materials came to schoolchildren on one of the eco-lessons, which are regularly conducted by the staff of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Leading specialist of the department of environmental education and interaction with public organizations Elena Gilmizyanova noted that such projects contribute to the formation of ecological culture among schoolchildren. “Education of love for nature begins with childhood, and it is very important to timely instil a sense of responsibility for all life on the planet,” she said. Creative work to make crafts from textile waste introduced team spirit in the classroom. As the class teacher Elvira Sabirzyanova noted, for the time while the students were making the crafts they united, revealed their classmates' creative abilities, and found common interests. According to her, schoolchildren have several more interesting options for the proper use of recycled materials. They plan to implement their ideas in the framework of the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces in the Republic of Tatarstan.
