From 4 to 6 of April 2018 in Moscow the Russian State Geological Exploration University named after Sergo Ordzhonikidze will host the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Strategy for the development of geological research of subsoil: the present and the future ". A plenary session and sessions of the sections will be held in the framework of the event. 

The application for the national award in the field of ecology and geography “Crystal Compass” was launched. Nominees can be citizens of the Russian Federation and other countries, creative unions, domestic and foreign organizations and enterprises that have implemented projects in the field of geography and ecology, preservation and promotion of natural and historical and cultural heritage in 2017.

The citizens will be accepted on the issues of environmental protection tomorrow at 13:00 in the building of the rural house of culture in the village Tanayka of Yelabuga district (Street Ermasova, 9).  The Minister of ecology and natural resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev, will answer the questions of the residents. 

The IX International Forum "Ecology" will be held in Moscow on March 22-23, 2018. The event will be held with the support and participation of the RF Federation Council, the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service for supervision in the field and other specialized ministries and departments. 

On 15-16 of March 2018 Saint Petersburg will host the XXth International Ecological Congress "Atmosphere – 2018". The representatives of Federal Executive authorities, including the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service for supervision of natural resources, Federal service for Hydrometeorology and environmental monitoring, Federal Service for supervision of consumer rights protection and human welfare, the executive bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in the field of environmental protection, environmental services of large industrial companies, leading research organizations will take part in this event.

From school knowledge to scientific research. Over 60 of schoolchildren from 18 regions of Tatarstan took part in the VII th republican scientific practical conference, which took place in the conference in Yelabuga. The event, organized by the Children's ecological and biological center, was focused to attract pupils to scientific-research and practical activities in the field of environmental protection.

Tatarstan citizens, keen on environmental issues, are invited to participate in the international competition "Eco Tradition 2018". The aim of the competition is to popularize ecological traditions aimed at the development of environmental culture. The participants should tell about their ecological traditions in the works, presented in the format of the video presentation or videos. The duration of the video should not exceed 3 minutes.

Applications are accepted for participation in a photo contest “Trees - monuments of wildlife”, participants of which can be residents of the Russian Federation above the age of 18.
For participation it is necessary to register on the website: http://rosdrevo.ru/request/photo-contest/ and send a photo before August 1, 2018. The contest accepts color and monochrome photographs (including black and white), the subject of which are trees recognized by the Certification Commission of the Program as nature monuments (a list of such trees can be found at: http://rosdrevo.ru/derevya-pamyatniki-zhivoy- prirody-spisok).

The All Russia youth scientific-practical conference "Geosciences: problems, achievements and prospects of development" will be held on 27-28 of April 2018 in the North-Eastern Federal University named after M. K. Ammosov. The students, undergraduates, graduate students and young scientists will participate in the event.

The photo amateurs of Tatarstan can take part in the IV competition of the Russian Geographical Society "The most beautiful country" until March 31, 2018. The photo contest is aimed at drawing attention to the issues of preservation of the natural and cultural heritage of Russia, as well as nurturing respect for the environment through the art of photography.
