The IX International Forum "Ecology" will be held in Moscow on March 22-23, 2018. The event will be held with the support and participation of the RF Federation Council, the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service for supervision in the field and other specialized ministries and departments. 

The application for the national award in the field of ecology and geography “Crystal Compass” was launched. Nominees can be citizens of the Russian Federation and other countries, creative unions, domestic and foreign organizations and enterprises that have implemented projects in the field of geography and ecology, preservation and promotion of natural and historical and cultural heritage in 2017.

The city children's ecological and biological center of Kazan and the Republican Olympiad Center invite pupils of grades 1-11 to participate in the republican open socio-ecological contest "Let's preserve the nature of Tatarstan". It is aimed at the formation of ecological thinking and culture among the younger generation, the development of schoolchildren's interest in the preservation and enhancement of the natural wealth of Tatarstan.

Applications are accepted for participation in a photo contest “Trees - monuments of wildlife”, participants of which can be residents of the Russian Federation above the age of 18.
For participation it is necessary to register on the website: http://rosdrevo.ru/request/photo-contest/ and send a photo before August 1, 2018. The contest accepts color and monochrome photographs (including black and white), the subject of which are trees recognized by the Certification Commission of the Program as nature monuments (a list of such trees can be found at: http://rosdrevo.ru/derevya-pamyatniki-zhivoy- prirody-spisok).

Geological associations of the Republic of Tatarstan (students of grades 5-11 and their teachers) are invited to participate in the Siberian Geological Olympiad, organized by the Geological and Geophysical Faculty of the Novosibirsk State University, the Institute of Geology and Mineralogy, and the Institute of Oil and Gas Geology and Geophysics of the SB RAS.

The first Automated Collection Complex "Pandomat" has appeared today in Almetyevsk. High-tech equipment for selective collection of PET bottles and aluminum cans has been installed in the Executive Committee of the Almetyevsk Region. In the near future such ACC will be equipped in 3 points of the city. The system allowing to collect containers in crowded places, provides for a compensation scheme. 

"Give the battery and help the nature." Students of the gymnasium № 31 of Nizhnekamsk conducted an environmental action on the collecting hazardous wastes. Within scope of the third decade of January, the schoolchildren collected and recycled 10 kilograms of spent batteries. 

The reception of applications for participation in the international competition of short films about water "We are water", with participants over 18 years old, has started.

The contest is held on three nominations:

- Documentary film;

- Feature film;

- Animation.

Tatarstan citizens, keen on environmental issues, are invited to participate in the international competition "Eco Tradition 2018". The aim of the competition is to popularize ecological traditions aimed at the development of environmental culture. The participants should tell about their ecological traditions in the works, presented in the format of the video presentation or videos. The duration of the video should not exceed 3 minutes.

To give a second life to wastes and to help birds during winter. For this purpose, the students of the Nalasinsk School of the Arsk District implemented a pilot project for manufacturing of ECOfeeders. The schoolchildren have already done the first steps: they studied the ways of manufacturing, types of materials, and also made the approximate sample of a bird's house.
