Reception of citizens on environmental protection and environmental management will take place on March 19 at 2.00 pm in the Executive Committee of Cheremshan village (Sovetskaya str., 32, 3rd floor, office of the head of the executive committee).

The delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, headed by the Deputy Head of the Inspectorate for Control in the Field of Ecology and Environmental Protection, Bakhtiyor Khazhikhanov, is on a visit to Kazan. Guests from neighboring country arrived in the capital of Tatarstan to study in detail and then use the experience of Tatarstan environmentalists in their work.

Today, a solemn meeting on the opening of the first stream of students - prosecutors who supervise environmental security and the economy was held at the Kazan Law Institute (branch) of the University of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation. The Director of the branch Farid Khisamutdinov addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. He introduced teachers, spoke about the work of the institute, congratulated students on the start of training, also stressed that, despite the extensive work experience, they need to take the opportunity to deepen their knowledge.

The interdepartmental working group on regulation of the operating regimes of the reservoirs of the Volga-Kama cascade was held today at the Federal Agency for Water Resources. From the Republic of Tatarstan, Timur Gilyazov, the Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in the event.

The agenda of the meeting of the working group includes the implementation of operating regimes of the waterworks of the Volga-Kama cascade established for the period from February 10 to March 11, 2019, the hydrological situation and actual water reserves in the snow cover in the Volga-Kama basin, as well as the water situation in reservoirs basins and design modes, the work of hydraulic units of the Volga-Kama cascade for the period from March 21 to April 15 of the current year.

An administrative fine in the amount of 800 thousand rubles was imposed on a construction company for illegal development of a quarry in Kazan. 4 trucks and an excavator at the time of the extraction of common minerals (clay) were recorded by employees of the Office of the State Inspectorate for Environmental Supervision of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in February of this year.

The South-Eastern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from a resident of Almetyevskiy district about the discharge of sewage water. During the audit it was revealed that on Lenina strret opposite the apartment building sewage flows into the terrain from an overflowed well sewer. Specialists of the specialized inspection of analytical control selected a sample of contaminated soil. The results of laboratory tests showed an excess of ammonium nitrogen. This appeal was sent to the Almetyevsk city prosecutor's office for consideration and adoption of prosecutorial response measures.

Based on the appeal of citizens in Mamadyshskiy district, a violation of environmental legislation was revealed. During the inspection, it turned out that on the coastal zone of the Kama River, near the Sokolki rural settlement, Mamadyshskiy district, land works are being carried out using an excavator, the fact of unauthorized removal and movement of the fertile soil layer without any permits was established. A report was drawn up against the perpetrators and a decision was passed to impose an administrative fine.

With a view to environmental education “Nizhnemaktaminsk School No. 2” of Almetyevskiy district held an environmental lesson on topic of separate garbage collection. As part of the training, the pupils were introduced to the recycling of industrial and household waste, they told what harm debris brings to human life and nature, and expanded their knowledge about recycling unnecessary things and recycling it. Experts of the South-Eastern Territorial Administration interactively introduced the schoolchildren to the profession of an ecologist and answered all questions of interest.

The Republican Youth Contest of social video clips on nature conservation starts on April 1. The organizers are the Tatarstan Regional Branch of the Youth All-Russian Public Organization “Russian Student Units” together with the Regional Youth Public Organization “Will be Clean” in the Republic of Tatarstan with support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Residents of Tatarstan aged from 14 to 35 years may participate in the competition. “Children's Ecological and Biological Center” of Nizhnekamskiy district of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the Zakamskiy Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan conducted an environmental campaign “Hand over waste paper - save a tree”. The main objective of the campaign is to attract people's attention to resource conservation, make them think about the wasteful use of natural resources, and also contribute to the development of recycling.
