The options for reclamation of silt fields in the city of Kazan were presented today to the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, by specialists of the Finnish company Kaukointernational. The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksandr Shadrikov also took part in the working meeting held at the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan. The project of reclamation of silt fields in Kazan is supposed to be included in the federal project “Improvement of the Volga” of the national project “Ecology”.

Disturbed lands with oil-containing pollution in Shemordan village of Sabinskiy district is planned to be rehabilitated as part of the “Ecology” national project. It is planned to allocate 94 million rubles for the project. About 6 thousand people will feel positive changes from the work.

In 2020, new treatment facilities will be commissioned in Alekseyevskoe village. According to Anatoly Abakumov, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the Alekseyevskiy district for Infrastructure Development, the need for construction of the facility has ripened due to population growth. If the old sewage treatment plant took 600 cubic meters per day, the productivity of new ones will double.
