The International Conference "Study and conservation of the snow Leopard in the world" is taking place in the capital of Tatarstan. Joining forces." This landmark event brought together representatives from all 12 countries of the snow leopard range to discuss joint measures to protect the rare predator.

International Conference "Study and conservation of the snow leopard in the world. Joining Forces" began in Kazan on March 14. The organizers of the event are The Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Interregional Association "Center for the Study and Conservation of the Snow Leopard "Irbis" and the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia.

On March 13-15, Kazan will host the International Conference "Study and conservation of the snow Leopard in the world. Joining forces." According to scientists, the snow leopard is an indispensable symbol, indicator of the health and sustainable development of mountain ecosystems, which represent the most important natural resources. The Global Program for the Conservation of the snow leopard and its ecosystems was approved at the World Snow Leopard Conservation Forum in 2013 by all 12 countries of the snow leopard range.

International Conference "Study and conservation of the snow leopard in the world. Joining Efforts" will be held from March 13 to 15 and will be devoted to the study and conservation of the snow leopard, as well as a discussion of existing environmental projects in this area.
