An unusual class was held today at a nursery "Kaenkay" in Pestretsy municipal district. Not nursery teachers, but State inspectors for nature protection under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan told the children about the rules of behavior outdoors and the importance of careful attitude to the environment. Head of the State Inspection of Ecological Surveillance, Almaz Zakirov, told about the Ministry's activity, and the equipment that helps ecological specialists work operatively and efficiently. "The children are very active with developed curiosity and imagination. It is very important now – when a child's personality is formed – to instill the love and respect to the surrounding environment teaching them to work for the benefit of nature and do everything it takes to preserve it. Nature is our home, and each one of us should take care of it", acknowledged Almaz Zakirov. "Ecological upbringing of the young generation is one of the top-priority directions of the Ministry of Ecology, emphasized Inessa Yarullina, Head of the Department for Information and Analytical Activity under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. - Children should understand that unless we preserve nature and duly respect it, we won't be able to save our planet. Today's ecological and educational activity of the Ministry of Ecology aims both at the little ones (preschoolers) including the activities while playing, fairy tales, musical and theatrical performances, and drawing, and at elder children. The "School eco￾patrol" project was elaborated and successfully implemented by the Ministry for pupils. Young adults - student of secondary specialized and higher educational institutions can become volunteers of public ecological organizations and join the ranks of public inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology". Frequent walks and tours outdoors are also one of the forms of ecological education, according to the Senior nursery teacher of the nursery "Kaenkay" in Pestretsy district, Veronika Tovkaleva: "As early as in childhood we familiarize our children with the basics of ecology. We should teach children to be sensitive to the life of nature, familiarize them with the rules of behavior in the natural surroundings and accustom them to following such rules. Direct and constant contact with nature, various methodical approaches in work, well-thought organization of observations, labor, games and education - this is the key to correct setting of ecological education to achieve the required result. According to her, the contest "Take care of nature" has become a tradition at the pre-school institution.
