The XIII All-Russian Ecological Forum “Green Planet 2015” devoted to the Year of Literaturewill be held in Moscow in April 2015.
The forum is aimed at:
 development of respectful attitude to nature in young Russian citizens through its description in literary works;
 fosteringof tolerance to unique human values in children and adolescents that are consistent with the principle of preservation of cultural and natural diversity;
 formation of ecological culture and active life philosophy in young citizens with regard to global problems faced by human beings.
The contest includes the following four categories:
1. “Forest life and destinies of people”;
2. “Green planet through the eyes of children”;
3. “Variety of time-honored traditions”;
4. “Nature. Culture. Ecology”.

The All-Russian contest of ecological posters “Let’s protect water together!”started in Samara. The creative contest is intended for children from 3 to 18 years of age. For the purposes of this contest it is necessary to draw an ecological poster on water importance before February 9, 2015. The contest is aimed at fostering in children of careful attitude to water as an essentially important resource and precious natural blessing of Russia.

The third All-Russian contest “Libraries and ecology: ecological information, culture, enlightenment” started in Moscow. The contest is aimed at:
 generalization of experience of libraries in the field of ecological enlightenment;
 discovery of new libraries and organizations working in this direction;
 monitoring of information resources created in the last 5 years and related to ecology and nature use;
 support of ecological initiatives of libraries;
 enhancement ofinterlibrary cooperation based on ecological enlightenment andimprovement of exchange technologies and joint use of information resources regarding ecology and environment protection.
All the libraries and organizations experienced in the field of ecological information activity are invited to participate in the contest.

Kazan Children’s Ecological and Biological Center together with the Republican Olympiad Center of the Republic of Tatarstan is holdingthe Social and Ecological Contest“Let’s save nature of Tatarstan!”. The contest is aimed at propaganda of careful attitude to nature wealth, its rational use, and involvementof children in nature protection activity– these are integral parts of patriotic upbringing of children. Children and adolescents studying at educational establishmentsof forms 1-11 who show interest in study and preservation of nature of the motherlandcan participate in the contest. The contest will be held in two categories:
- nature protection campaign“Let’s save nature of Tatarstan!”;
- the contest of social poster
Pieces of work will be accepted until February20, 2015.

The Third International Ecological Awardsin the field of constructionand finishing materials e3Awards will be held in Moscow.Participants will receive an emblem of ecological distinction— е3 —“Ecology.Energy.Efficiency”to label “green” quality of products for consumers. Companies and organizations of any proprietary form can participate in the Award.

The Fourth National Scientific Conference with international participation“Mathematical modeling in ecology” will be held in May 2015 in Moscow Region. Main topics of the conference include:
1.Mathematical modeling as an instrument to make decisions on management ofrenewable natural resources;
2. Ecosystemic approach to management of natural resources, signs and principles of sustainable development of ecosystems;
3. Modeling of element cycles in ecosystems, modeling of the processes of growth and development of life organisms, modeling of dynamics of populations and communities, as well as forecast of changes in biodiversity;

4. Modeling of catastrophic impact on the environment: modeling of invasion of species and outbreaks, modeling of the aftermath of pollutions, forest fires, outbreaks of the number of insects, the impact of floods and

The meeting of the Interdepartmental workshop on cleaning of water areas of the Kuybyshev and Nizhnekamsk water reservoirs from sunken and abandoned floating crafts will be held on January23, 2015at 1 pm at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Center for information and educationalresources of Yaroslavl holds the All-Russian contest“Ecological education and enlightenment”. The projects presented by teachers, educators, and schoolmasters, as well asauthor's developments, programs of interest groups that promote ecological enlightenment of children and pupilsare accepted for the contest.
The contest implies the following topics:
1. Promotion of ecological intelligence;

The International summit for global problems of water deficiency indrought-affected regions“International Water Summit” is held on January 19 – 22, 2015in Abu-Dhabi. The event is aimed at revelation of new solutions regarding management of water and energy resources, integration of water and energy resources, as well as preservation of nature water reserves for future generations. The exposition of achievements and innovations of the industry of water technologies including 150 exhibits from 15 countries will work in the framework of the summit.

The Interregional contest of ecological drawingsstarted in St. Petersburg for pupils of 5-11 forms of secondary schools, colleges, and vocational schools.
The contest is aimed at fostering of careful attitude to the environment and natural resources; enhancement of ecological culture and responsibility of the young generation with regard to the environment.
The contest is held in the following categories:
1. Ecological poster
2. Education and research work
3. Ecological reports
4. Hand-made(crafts made of waste)
