For the purpose of environmental education a thematic day dedicated to the water and water space of our planet was held for pupils of the “Kindergarten No. 2 “Planeta detstva (Planet of Childhood)” of Almetyevsk town. Children in an entertaining way became acquainted with the properties of water and learned how important it is to preserve water and protect it from various contaminants.

Schoolchildren of Nizhnekamskiy district are actively preparing for April 1, International Day of Birds. They demonstrated their knowledge in the field of ornithology and practical skills in making bird feeders for feathered friends as part of an eco-festival in Gabdulla Tukai Park.

Illumination of more than 18,000 architectural monuments will be turned off on the planet as part of the most massive environmental campaign “Earth Hour”. More than 2 billion people from 188 countries of the world take part in it. In 2019, the International Earth Hour will be held for the 13th time - the campaign will be held on Saturday, March 30. Everyone can take part in it, it is only necessary to turn off the lights and household electrical appliances from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm.

In order to attract public attention to the state of water bodies and problems related to their rational use, restoration and protection, March 22 was marked as World Water Day or Water Resources Day. The idea of ​​holding it was first voiced at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) in 1992 in Rio de Janeiro.

“The snow selected at the site of oil pipeline breakthrough of “Transneft – Prikamye” Joint-Stock Company, belongs to the second class of danger, the content in its mass of oil products was 78%”, said environmentalists. The accident at the pipeline occurred on March 15 between Iske-yurt and Chita settlements of Pestrechinskiy district of the Republic of Tatarstan. The area of ​​contaminated soil cover was 700 square meters. Administrative proceedings were instituted against the official of the enterprise on this fact.

The solemn event dedicated to the International Day of Forests was held today at the Kazan State Agrarian University. The Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Egor Tarnavsky took part in it.

Zonal meetings on holding of sanitary-ecological bimonthly period in the republic were held today in Baltasi and Alekseyevskoe town settlements. The readiness of municipal districts of the Northern and Volga-Kama zones was checked by the Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan - Chief State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of Environmental Protection, Fayaz Shakirov.

The event discussed the approval of a plan for sanitary cleaning of subordinate territories, creation of operational headquarters to coordinate work on conduct of the bimonthly period, to monitor and eliminate unauthorized waste disposal sites.

The eco-holiday “Protect our planet!” was held in Zireklinskiy Lyceum in Novosheshminskiy district. The event, dedicated to the week of biology and ecology, was attended by pupils of 2-7 grades of the lyceum. The game QUEST was organized for them, during which the children were divided into 4 teams, their task was to collect garbage separately. Together with the state inspectors of the Volga-Kama Territorial Administration, they discussed the rules of behavior in forests, in parks and squares.

A festive event dedicated to the International Day of Forests was held in the kindergarten of the combined type “Solnyshko (Sun)” in Buinsk town of the Republic of Tatarstan. During the event, specialists from the Zavolzhskiy Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan told the children about birds and how to make birdhouses correctly.

In order to draw attention to the problem of forest conservation and its wealth, as well as to raise public awareness of their importance at the international level, a special holiday was established - International Day of Forests or World Day for Protection of Forests.

As part of the celebration, activists of all countries - members of the UN are engaged in planting new trees, hold conferences, seminars and exhibitions, the organizers of which are trying to awaken in people the care of greenery.
