The fruit of joint efforts - 2 educational publications for eco-classes: notebooks for 1st-graders “Green Path” and a manual for 5-graders “Green Tatarstan”. 102 specialized eco-classes of the Republic of Tatarstan were presented today to journalists in the Tatar-inform news agency.
Polyethylene and waste paper was found in the water protection zone of the Bezymyannaya River in Leninogorsk. The environmental compliance raid was carried out by inspectors of the South-Eastern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and officers of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Leninogorskiy district. Specialists recorded the fact that waste was disposed on the soil, and they also discovered an unauthorized pump installed on the river for water intake.
Since the beginning of the year, 7,937 appeals have been received by the Republican Public Reception Office of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. An expanded meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council was held at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting examined innovative technology for the use of “Eco Tracer +” markers in the environmental protection complex. The principle of the technology is based on introduction of a portion of the marker into the object of observation, such as a well, places of temporary placement of oil sludge, solid waste storage facilities and others, followed by sampling in places of water use.
Today, the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Coca-Cola System in Russia signed an agreement on development of a culture of separate accumulation and collection of municipal solid waste, according to the official website of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan. The document was signed by the Head of the republic, Rustam Minnikhanov, and the CEO of Coca-Cola HBC Russia, Aleksandar Ruzhevich.
The document suggests that Kazan will be the first city in Russia to use the Zero Waste City concept as part of Coca-Cola's “World without Waste” global strategy.

From August 19 to September 2, the second international summer school of the German-Russian Institute of New Technologies “Smart Cities” of Russia: a look into the future! is held in Kazan.
