The delegation of the Republic of Latvia on the eve visited the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting, initiated by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan, was attended by representative of the CLEANTECH LATVIA Association in Kazakhstan Babur Absamatov, the Development Director of the CLEANTECH LATVIA Association Oksana Pokhilko, the Head of BaltijasJūras ģeoloģijascentrs (BJGC) company Janis Terauds.
An event dedicated to the third anniversary of the “Separate with us” program, a large-scale Coca-Cola project in Russia aimed at creating a separate waste collection system in our country was held in Moscow. The “Separate with us” project started in 2016 with installation of 600 containers for separate waste collection in 8 cities of the country. To date, Russia has managed to install more than 5,500 containers for separate collection in 50 Russian cities and process more than 85,000 tons of packaging waste. And in total, more than 1,700,000 people across the country took part in the project.

Students of the Chistopol Agricultural College visited the special inspection of the Volga-Kama Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Employees of the Prikamskiy Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the State Public Institution “Menzelinskiy Forest District” held a thematic event on topic “Wintering Birds” at school No. 2 of Menzelinsk. Pupils became participants in the interactive game “Migratory Birds”, showed a theatrical performance, and also made bird feeders with their own hands. At the end of the ecological event, the pupils were given the magazines “From a Blank Slate” and the “School of Ecology”, and the most active were presented with certificates.

Employees of the Prikamskiy Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with the Center for Extracurricular Activities, conducted environmental classes for children with disabilities. During the conversation, children traced the life cycle of a plastic bottle sent for recycling and played with toys made from recycled materials.

The accident at the oil pipeline in the Almetyevskiy district caused pollution of about 700 square meters territory. Information about the incident was promptly transmitted to the Office of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies and the oil company, the rush was eliminated on the same day.
Today, environmentalists have relocated to the site in order to monitor ongoing mitigation activities. 12 people and 33 units of special equipment are involved in the pumping of oil products, removal and export of contaminated soil.
Mechanical restoration of two sites for temporary placement of municipal solid waste was carried out on the territory of the Krasnovidovo village and near the Staroye Kazeyevo village of Kamsko-Ustyinsky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan. The cost of work amounted to 262 thousand rubles, at the expense of the budget of Kamsko-Ustyinskiy municipal district. Subsequently, a decision was made on centralized export of municipal solid waste.
