The updated List of fauna objects listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation and the procedure for maintaining the Red Book were approved. According to preliminary calculations by the Federal Agency for Water Resources, water releases will begin on April 6, reaching maximum flow rates from April 12 to 25, 2020. During this period, the level of the Kuibyshev reservoir will drop to the level of 52.0 m BS and stay at this level until May 1.
