Today, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a meeting-seminar of the Council of Subsoil Users. The meeting of the interdepartmental working group on regulating the operation modes of the Volga-Kama Cascade reservoirs was held today with Federal Water Resources Agency via videoconference . Following the results of the meeting, the approved modes of operation of reservoirs will be published on the Federal Water Resources Agency website. A follow-up meeting of the IWG is scheduled for early February.

2.6 thousand m3 of common minerals (sand) were illegally extracted on the territory of the wild sand pit in the Almetyevsk district. The fact of theft was recorded by inspectors of the South-Eastern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan with the help of a camera trap in October last year. As the inspectors explained, the actions of the perpetrators constitute a crime under Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Excess standards for nitrites, ammonium and phosphates were detected repeatedly by inspectors of the South-Eastern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in the wastewater of LLC "Vodokanal" in Leninogorsk. The results of the analysis of samples in the period from 2018 to 2019 became the basis for bringing the factory to administrative responsibility under Part 4 of Article 8.13 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.
