A decade of sanitary and ecological cleaning of territories of municipal formations was started in Tatarstan on October 8th. The events related to the cleaning of squares, parks, playgrounds, grocery and consumer goods markets, as well as mass recreationplaces, garage cooperatives and private housing sectors from litter will be held in the framework of the Decade. Surveillance over executionof the nature protection legislation requirements in the field of production and consumption waste managementand sanitary state of specially protected nature territories will be enforced during this time. Special attention will be paid to the issues regarding liquidationof the places of unauthorized waste placementon the territories of urban settlements, suburban areas, coastal lines of water facilities and places of mass recreation of the population.

These days the All-Russian Forum “Ecological Safety” is held in St. Petersburg. This project is aimed at attraction of attention to the ecological problems. The Forum is aimed at studying of the best practices in the field of ecology that ensure promotion of efficient innovation technologies and enhancement of ecological safety of the population.

The XIII International specialized exposition “Oil. Gas. Energy. Chemistry. Ecology-2014” and “Industrial safety-2014” was opened in Almetyevsk today. The event is held annually for the fellow workers of “TATNEFT” OJSCand companies of the oil and gas fieldat the South-east of the Republic of Tatarstan.Products of more than90 companies from 53 cities of the Russian Federation and representative offices of foreign companies are presented at the exposition. It will be closed on October 10th.

The group stage of the mini football contest was held on October 6thin the context of the Spartakiade of the State officials of the Republic of Tatarstan in the sports complex“Triumph”. Following the results of the draw procedure, the teams that were to play againstthe team of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan included teams of the Ministry of Land and Property Regulations of the Republic of Tatarstan,

Compliance with norms of the All-Russian Complex of Sports and Physical Training “Ready for Work and Defense” (RWD) will be checked at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in January 2015.

On October 1, 2014 the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov held a working meeting with Executive Directorof the Non-governmental Ecological Fund named after V.I. Vernadsky Olga Plyamina in the framework of the Days of ecological enlightenment in the Republic of Tatarstan arrangedunder the auspices of “Gazprom” OJSC.

As of September 1, 2014 the contest“School eco-patrol” started in the Republic, and more than 600 applications have been received during the first month. The greatest activity was shown by pupils of Kazan, as well as Zainsk, Chistopol and Vysokaya Gora districts of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Veterans of Labor who devoted many years to working at the Ministry were honored today at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan addressed the audience with a welcome word and congratulations. He acknowledged that the day was a wonderful holiday giving another opportunity to express great respect and sincere gratitude to people who had made a lot of efforts so that the work aimed at provision of ecological safety of the Republic and careful attitude to natural resources at the Ministry was always up to the mark.

The VIII International Ecological Forum “Nature without borders” will be held on October 23 – 24th, 2014 in Vladivostok.
Year after year the forum unites under its aegis famous scientific personae, representatives of public organizations from various countries. The main topic of the forum in 2014 — “Ecology and business: from opposition to mutual understanding”.
