Until December 15, works are accepted for participation in the city stage of the All-Russian competition “My Small Homeland: Nature, Culture, Ethnos”. The competition is held by the Education Department of the city of Kazan, the City Children's Ecological and Biological Center together with environmental organizations.

Works in print and electronic form accompanied with the application form, are accepted at the Organizing Committee by the address: Kazan, Kosmonavtov str., 57, with indication “Competition “My Little Homeland”. Works of winners of the municipal level shall be sent to the next stage of the competition.

The competition of ecological drawings "From a clean sheet!" has been announced for pupils of 1 -11th grades. From October 10 to November 10, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan accepts works made with colored pencils, paints, felt-tip pens (performance technique for the choice of the author) of A3 / A4 format. In the lower right corner on the face of the picture, you must specify the name of the author, grade, name of the educational organization, name of the work. On the back side indicate contact phone number and email address.

8,501 appeals were received by the Republican Public Reception Office of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan from the beginning of the year. Most of them – 4,070 - through the School Eco-patrol mobile application. According to the “People’s control” system, ecologists reviewed 1,223 messages, 1,185 notifications via WhatsApp, Telegram, Eco.signal, “Hotline” communication channels. 2,023 appeals were received at the personal receptions of citizens and through the reception of the Ministry.

On-site meeting of the interdepartmental working group on ensuring environmental safety during development of the Nizhnekamsk industrial hub was held in Nizhnekamsk. The commission includes the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Aleksandr Shadrikov, Head of the Department of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources Management of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farit Khairutdinov, Head of the Department of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring of the Republic of Tatarstan, Sergey Zakharov, Head of the Nizhnekamskiy municipal district, the Mayor of Nizhnekamsk, Aidar Metshin, Deputy of State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, General Director of “Nizhnekamskneftekhim, Public Joint-Stock Company, Azat Bikmurzin.

During the meeting, the commission considered a number of issues, including implementation of measures to reduce emissions of pollutants into the air and reconstruction of biological wastewater treatment plants. In the near future, the number of Nizhnekamsk enterprises that will be obliged to reduce emissions at their facilities during the onset of adverse meteorological conditions will increase, they reported at the meeting. Currently, there are 8 enterprises, the list is planned to be expanded to 21.

Is the fact of cutting down green spaces on the territory of the Volga-Kama State Natural Biosphere Reserve legal? The collective appeal of citizens was received by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Due to the concern of this situation, environmentalists carried out a field visit to verify the arguments mentioned in the appeal. The fact of land clearing was confirmed on the site.

Specialists of the Office of Rosprirodnadzor for RT conducted an examination and assessment of planting values. A positive conclusion was made according to the results.

Theoretical knowledge was solidified in practice by students of the Almetyevskiy branch of the University of Management "TISBI". As part of the study of the course “Ecology”, the students visited a specialized inspection of analytical control of the South-Eastern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Tatarstan. Instruments and equipment used for sampling of atmospheric air, industrial emissions, water and soil, as well as chemical analysis processes were demonstrated for the children.

Another fact of non-compliance with the rules when handling wastes was discovered by environmentalists during a helicopter fly-around. The land plot where the violation was recorded is located on the territory of Buinskiy district. The land used under the sublease agreement belongs to the Kazan company, on the area of ​​4,218 sq. m the company carried out procurement, storage, processing and sale of non-ferrous and ferrous metals.

An open interregional forum of prosecutor's offices of the Volga Federal District and the Volga Interregional Environmental Prosecutor's Office was held today in Yoshkar-Ola. The key topic of the meeting was the issues of ensuring legality in the field of water protection as one of the factors for preserving the ecological well-being of water bodies within the Volga River basin in the Volga Federal District.

More than 700 million trees are needed for annual consumption of office paper. Every year, each office employee produces 160 kilograms of paper waste, and 45% of all papers are thrown away within 24 hours after printing. In order to preserve the environment and inform the public about the rational ways of paper handling, the “Paperless Day” campaign is held all over the world. Its organizers urge people to do as much as they can in their everyday life and at work without paper industry products.

Aquatic biological resources of the Kama river have been replenished today with more than 6,600 carp juveniles. The action of stocking the river took place in Krasnyi Klyuch village of Nizhnekamskiy district. The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Aleksandr Shadrikov, the Mayor of Nizhnekamsk, Aidar Metshin, heads of the environmental protection structures of the republic took part in the action. The event was initiated by TANECO Joint-Stock Company as part of the implementation of the Federal Long-Term Program for Improvement of the Volga River and its tributaries.
