Results of assessment of the thermal waste disposal plant in Tatarstan were presented today by the heads of German expert companies. A press conference in a video communication format was held at the site of Tatmedia AO. Representatives of the RT-Invest company also took part in it.
German experts spoke about the activities of their companies, services provided and implemented projects. “It was very important for us that the population living in the area of the plant to be constructed understood that this installation meets all environmental requirements and practically does not affect the atmosphere”, said Gunther Kner, Head of LGA.

The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Aleksandr Shadrikov, announced the first results of the work with independent foreign experts who evaluated the plant for the thermal disposal of MSW in Tatarstan. According to Aleksandr Shadrikov, according to the results of the analysis, the choice was made in favor of German specialists. “A preliminary international environmental review has been carried out. The order of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan is fulfilled. The selected experts are independent and give a positive opinion on construction of the plant in the Zelenodolskiy district of the Republic. I emphasize that the main priority for us is to protect the health and ensure the safety of our residents”, concluded Aleksandr Shadrikov.
On behalf of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Aleksandr Shadrikov, is on a working visit to Germany, where he met in Dresden with the State Minister for Energy, Climate Protection, Environment and Agriculture of the Free State of Saxony, Mr. Wolfram Gunther.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of possible cooperation, exchange of information and experience in the field of nature protection and ensuring the rights of residents of the regions to a healthy and safe environment.
The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Aleksandr Shadrikov, is on a working visit to Germany. At the beginning of the meeting, Aleksandr Shadrikov presented the work of environmental department of Tatarstan, after which the parties went on to discuss automation of monitoring air quality, water bodies and wastewater. German colleagues, in turn, shared their experience and promised to present the introduced technologies in the field of environmental protection.
