The holiday is aimed at drawing the attention of mankind to the problems of other inhabitants of the planet: to help stray animals, to increase activity on environmental protection, to prevent the extinction of endangered species of animals, to fight poaching. Animals are our friends and lifeguards.

Today the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan congratulated veterans of the industry who worked in different years in the field of nature conservation. The event, dedicated to the International Day of Older Persons, gathered more than 60 people. Aleksandr Shadrikov, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, addressed the older generation with warm words and good wishes: “You are our role model, our heritage”.

Kazan first-graders talked about ecology today. Specialists from the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan conducted an eco-lesson “Planet Earth” in gymnasium No. 122 in Kazan. “Our planet is a house, a house for a mouse and a crane, a worm and a butterfly, a pine tree and a lily of the valley”, began her story a Specialist of the Ministry, Leysan Faizullina.

A message about the presence in the atmospheric air of acrid smell of smoke came to the hotline of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan from residents of complexes 34, 36, 37 in Naberezhnye Chelny. The Mobile Ecological Laboratory of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan arrived at the site, the specialists of the Prikamskiy Territorial Administration made an air sampling. “There has been no excess of the maximum permissible concentrations of pollutants in the air”, said environmentalists.

Today, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Kazan State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. The document was signed by Aleksandr Shadrikov, the Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Rashit Nizamov, the Rector of KGASU. During the meeting, issues of practical training for university students and graduates' employment, topical environmental issues were discussed.

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan announces the start of the republican contest "ECO-leader". The most eco-friendly enterprises and educational institutions are invited to participate - whose task is to teach to take care of nature, public figures who are not indifferent to environmental problems and, of course, journalists who during the year became real assistants to inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan.

Campaigns for the collection of recyclables, contests of environmental waste handicrafts, educational activities and excursions to environmental-oriented enterprises for schoolchildren. Eco-actives project starts on October 13 in Naberezhnye Chelny. As part of this program, educational institutions of Avtograd will form eco-active groups of students, who in turn cultivate ecological culture among their friends and classmates, and teach them how to sort garbage.

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan recalls. It is necessary to register vessels of inland river and mixed ("river-sea") navigation, which are used by license holders for the extraction of common minerals, at the unified state information system of the Republic of Tatarstan - GLONASS or GLONASS / GPS.
