The VII annual interregional scientific and practical conference “Industrial Ecology and Safety” under the chairmanship of Artem Sidorov, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, took place at “Kazan Fair” exhibition center.
Andrey Kalayda, the Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan on environmental protection, and Venera Latypova, Doctor of Chemistry, Chairman of Scientific Council on environmental issues under General Committee of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Head of Applied Ecology Department of Kazan State University, performed as moderators of the conference.
The participants of the conference discussed topical issues of state regulation in the sphere of environmental protection and management as well as the latest scientific achievements in the sphere of industrial ecology and their usage in various industries.
The participants of the conference pointed out that for Tatarstan, one of the most economically and industrially developed regions of Russia, ensuring of ecological safety, sustainable development, and high life quality can be achieved only based on the balance of substantial interests of social and economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan and requirements of ecological safety, multifold industry modernization ensuring, and wide introduction of the best innovative technologies of environmental protection.
