The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan along with the Special Operations Aviation Detachment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan continues work on detection of violations of environmental protection legislation on the territory of Kazan and its suburbs.

At present, unmanned aerial vehicles enabled with devices for photo and video registration of violations are used for the purposes of detection and operative response to the facts of violation and prosecution of the guilty parties subject to the applicable legislation. This type of monitoring considerably reduces time expenditures and manpower-related expenses.

Using photos and video recordings made by unmanned aerial vehicles, inspectors are able to detect on-site violations of environmental protection legislation. The results of the aviation inspection held by inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan triggered initiation of administrative prosecution regarding violations of atmospheric air protection rules, unauthorized disposal of production and consumption waste, as well as unlicensed mineral resource use. Photos and video recordings are used as evidentiary basis.
